Biography
A.Prof. Ghassan Idris (DDS, PGDip Orth, MPhil Orth; JBOD, DClinDent [Otago], PhD [Otago]; MRACDS–Orth [Australasian Royal College, Australia]. Dr Idirs is a registered dental specialist (Orthodontist) with decades of clinical and academic experience. Dr Idris specialises in complex orthodontic treatments, combining modern technology, evidence-based practice, and patient-centered care to create balanced, functional, and enduring smiles.
Dr Idris currently serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Griffith University and Clinic Team Lead- Orthodontics at Queensland Children’s Hospital, and Mater Hospital, where he focuses on treating children and adults with cleft lip and palate and other complex craniofacial conditions. He previously lectured in orthodontics at Albaath University and the University of Otago for over eight years, and has worked as a senior orthodontist and consultant across private practice, hospital, and university settings in several countries.

Dr Idris approaches orthodontics as more than the alignment of teeth, focusing on facial balance, function, and long-term confidence. His practice integrates advanced digital imaging, 3D scanning, and clear aligner systems to support precise diagnosis and comprehensive treatment planning centred on facial harmony, function, and aesthetics.
